So, I can't decide if I should be sad that I learned about this on PerezHilton or not, but regardless, it's definitely pretty sweet that the House of Representatives agreed to pass the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act (AKA Matthew Shepard Act) which essentially grants federal backing in the local pursuit of hate criminals.
